Our Days

I remember the days of our youth
Of golden dust and sunny days
Of sweet vine and starry nights
And most of all–I remember you.

The uncomplicated way in life
Trusting someone because you could
Of innocence in our eyes
...and the love we once knew

Vacations and the days of school
Long walks underneath the moon
First kiss was something knew
–something none of us knew.

The first time we discovered
That there is more we can do
And no one did ever knew
What we did after school

I miss us when we were young
I wish for the days to return
If it just for a moment
–so I can be with you.
