Hi,

Its my bf birthday in roughly a months time and i want to give him a surprise for his birthday. For my birthday he had light, 100 candles around a room. On one chair was a pile of presents. On the window he had sprayed "I Love You James" on the window. There were balloons on the floor and in the center of the room was food (hand made cake saying happy birthday James on it, waffles with chocolate and a message saying remember Belgium, and other foods). There were also soft, calming music in the background.

How can i do something as wonderful as this, without it costing too much. I would prefer to make the food instead of going to a restaurant.

Any ideas would be great

Well if you would like to make the food, then it wouldn't cost as much as going to a bakery or restaurant to get those things. So you do have the right idea there in making the food.

Maybe make some of his favorite foods, bake a cake in the flavor he likes as well as the icing he likes too. OR If you make the other stuff, you might be able to get him a cake made for him, some grocery stores make some really great cakes & they aren't nearly as expensive as bakeries.

Very good idea, Angel. A Heart shaped cake with some very touching words on it. My son gave me a card once for my birthday, and the words was so touching that I had tears in my eyes. It really touched my heart. Try to find out what he likes and work from there with the ideas. If he likes strawberris..have some strawberris and sugar. Don't forget the candles and the music.

I love planning surprises!! All the thinking and planning is worth it after you see the reaction of the victim. Laughing

Cooking the food yourself is enough to make his heart melt, I'm sure. You can check out cookbooks (safer than on the net) for dishes. You should try new dishes that you think he hasn't tried yet before and amaze him on how well you can cook. You can also surprise him on his special day by coming over to his workplace and handing him lunch which you have whipped up yourself.

I feel more comfortable and when dating now. I realize and that it is important then for me to make up my mind. By being clear and concern about the things I want and need then in a relationship. I also feel that respect is a key element to dating. How do you feel and or what do you think ? Razz
